During the coming monsoon more than 4,000 villagers in Nepal will use one of thirty-one WireBridges built by EcoSystems. They will attend school, get to health posts, porter goods more efficiently, and reach their fields and friends more easily. Designed at the request of the villagers, these TarPul (tar = wire, pul = bridge) are simple, low cost, light weight, quickly installed, smooth to use, low-maintenance, and fabricated within Nepal.
With a mission of bettering lives in developing countries through creative use of low cost technology, EcoSystems is helping local villages one wire bridge and pedal at a time. EcoSystems is seeking help from MBAs Without Borders for 6-10 months to assist with a variety of business support including preparing a business plan for the manufacture and distribution in Nepal of EcoSystems’ electric power generation and distribution systems and drafting proposals for funding bridge constructions projects
