Carpets for Communities (CFC) is a practical approach to reducing child labor and vulnerability to child trafficking in Poi Pet, Cambodia. We empower mothers to send their children to school through the production and sale of one-of-a-kind, hand-hooked carpets.
CFC has partnered with MWB as it needed an experienced business person to support its current program. As such Melany Markham (Melbourne) is currently in Cambodia providing C4C project management support and will be working on insuring that the Carpets for Communities’ model is sustainable and continues to reduce child labour and empower more and more mothers.
